Ken, you're right, I do use LEN quite a bit, especially with imported data. It's usually stuck near the end of a long formula though, doing the grunt work. Tough to get the recognition you deserve, stuck in a corner like that. ;-)
What would my top 10 be? (in no particular order) SUM, IF, AND, OR, LEFT, RIGHT, SUMPRODUCT, VLOOKUP, LEN, COUNT
I'm working on teaching some 2nd year university students VBA as well as making an intro computer course with Excel much more applicable. I'd love to see what your top 10 functions are Ken... or anyone else if its different from Debra's.
Rick, thanks, glad you like the site, and it would be interesting to see which functions other people use most often. And I still think Waterloo Lutheran when I see WLU -- let's not discuss how long ago that name changed.
I think the only people who use concatenate are the ones who haven't figured out that you can do the same thing with &.
Seriously, LEN isn't in your common formula list? It's easily in my top 10, especially when I'm working with imported data.

BTW: Interesting and useful site Debra.
